Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and program CNC machines for production.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and job specifications.
- Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures and workholding equipment.
- Adjust programs, offsets and machine settings as needed.
- Perform basic inspections to verify part dimensions and quality.
- Troubleshoot setup, tooling and machining issues.
- Work with machinists, supervisors and quality personnel to resolve production concerns.
- Maintain accurate setup and production documentation.
- Keep the work area clean, organized and safe.
- Follow established safety, quality and manufacturing procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical training or machining education preferred.
- Previous CNC machining, setup or programming experience preferred.
- Experience in a precision manufacturing environment is beneficial.
- Equivalent combinations of education, training and hands-on experience may be considered.
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machining specifications.
- Basic knowledge of CNC setup, programming and machining processes.
- Familiarity with cutting tools, fixtures and precision measuring equipment.
- Understanding of dimensional tolerances and basic GD&T principles.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Physical Demands
This position requires working in and around a precision CNC manufacturing environment. Job duties may involve extended periods of standing and walking along with bending, reaching and repetitive hand movements while setting up equipment, handling tooling and completing machining-related tasks.
The employee must be able to safely lift, move, carry or position parts, fixtures, tooling and related materials as required for the position. The role also requires the manual dexterity, coordination and visual acuity necessary to operate CNC equipment, handle precision tools, read engineering drawings and inspect machined components.

Work Environment
This position works primarily in a CNC machining and manufacturing environment. The CNC Setup Programmer will regularly interact with CNC equipment, tooling, fixtures, machined components, inspection equipment and other manufacturing personnel.
